STORY BEHIND OUR CARDS
WildCard has chosen to raise awareness about animals to raise awareness for the Australian wildfires, which have caused the death of more than 1 billion animals. Our team has realized this incident is a signal of how much impact climate change inflicts with regards to animal population and habitat loss. Thus, our team decided that we must slow down climate change by limiting the number of carbon sinks been destroyed, i.e trees, through using recycled paper for our cards as well as taking action NOW to protect endangered animals by donating to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an organization focused on protecting animal habitats from climate change. We have also designed what we believe should be an ideal habitat for our three endangered animals.
WHY PURCHASE OUR CARDS?
Our cards aim for your receiver to forever treasure your personally folded origami decoration as these folds actually shape your message to them. These origami animals should be a constant reminder to not forget about our wildlife and the safe and sustainable habitats that they deserve. The three endangered animals that we have chosen: the butterfly, the crane, and the panda, all send different messages, from longevity to good luck. These symbolic features are also a reason why we have specifically chosen the three endangered animals.
RAISING AWARENESS
Our WildCard team believes that spreading joy to people around us is important, but we have often have forgotten about wildlife and the nature that surrounds us. Our animal friends are equal citizens who inhabit this planet with us, but we have mistreated them repeatedly, with the most recent case being the Australian wildfires. Thus, WildCard has provided you with the forum in which you will have the opportunity to raise awareness as well as donate to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an organization that saves endangered species by enlarging or protecting their habitats. With each card that you purchase, money will be donated to WWF to help improve the conditions that animals are living in. ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
According to our recent survey, people are concerned about the environmental issues associated with destroying Mother Nature just for the one time use of our cards. WildCard reassures you that you are not destroying our environment, as our cards are made with matte recycled paper collected by local paper recyclists. In order to be dutiful citizens, we have taken extra costs in order to provide you with an environmentally friendly product and our company hopes that you can spread the awareness of using recycled paper whenever possible. In addition, WildCard believes that our meaningful cards will be a lifelong keepsake!
